North to Alaska!

Our Alaskan adventure was just that!  It wasn’t all smooth sailing – the trip began with me literally jumping on the boat at the last minute after delayed flights.  I barely made it and can’t remember ever having such a close call.  I wasn’t able to wait for my luggage at the airport if I had any hope of making it to the ship, so I performed in borrowed clothes for the first three days until our first stop in Juneau.  But none of that mattered in the end!  The Celtic Music Cruisers were amazing – supportive music fans and fantastic musicians who were all eager to hang out and share experiences and music.  We had workshops, performances and many hours of sessions.  It was hard to cram in time for all of the port stops and cruise activities (but we did!)  In addition to the fabulous cruise attendees, we had the honor of sharing music with Alasdair Fraser, Natalie Haas and Matt & Shannon Heaton. Amazing musicians and beautiful souls.  We also had the pleasure of sharing the week with our parents and some other family members which made it all that much more special.  It was a first cruise for all of us but we sure hope it won’t be our last!
